2023 Wedding Trends

Hey Bridal Babes!

While it may be early into the 2023 wedding season there are some lovely trends we are already seeing take over. Below are some of our personal favorite trends that speak to our event planning hearts.

Pearl Veils

First up on our list is the infamous pearl veil. This Beauty emerged in 2022 and it looks like it is here to stay this year! The best thing about these veils is how customizable they are. Pearl veils can either be commissioned from a designer or if you're bold enough make it yourself.  The typical price range is a couple hundred dollars from a bridal boutique or if you decide to DIY it, it can range anywhere from $25 to $100. Looking for an extra classy look? Try a pearl beaded trim or scattered pearl design! When paired with other pearl accessories we think this could be the perfect look for the simplistic aesthetic bride.

Wedding Photos

Wedding photos are one of the most crucial parts of your wedding day, there are many different photography techniques that can be used to document your big day. One of our favorite techniques is film photography, this wedding photo trend really does develop some gorgeous pictures. Something really magical about film photography is the anticipation of waiting to see the way the photos developed. There's something very nostalgic about the way these pictures capture a moment. Another popular photography trend is direct flash photography, this technique can result in dazzling photos that tell an exciting story.

Trendy Wedding Cakes

While we're on the topic of simplistic wedding trends another favorite of ours is simplistic wedding cakes. Some ideas for a more simplistic wedding cake include bare cakes with delicate baby's breath decorating it to a more elevated cake look with buttercream frosting and edible pearls. Not only can these cakes be beautiful and delicious but having a more simplistic design can really have a more elevated look. Simplistic wedding cakes can also save you the hassle of dealing with the preposterous amount of leftover cake there tends be.

Live Painter

When you get married you want the beautiful day captured and what better way to do that than to have a live artist paint the special moment of when two souls become one. While some may think it's a bit over the top this wonderful trend captures the moment in a new and different light. Taking pictures of the day might be easier but to have a one-of-a-kind portrait of it is something very special that not everyone experiences. There are a few different places to hire a wedding painter such as etsy, thebridalpainting.com, and other freelance job websites like craigslist.

A Private Moment Away from the Wedding

A very special trend that I personally adore is for the Bride and Groom to take a moment alone after the ceremony. While a bit unorthodox I truly believe that this can be incredibly beneficial for the newlyweds, taking time out of the day to soak up the reality of finally passing this monumental milestone. This time can be anything from taking a moment together before the reception like a walk or even a snack, another special moment you and your partner can share is a private dance at the end of the night.

End of Night Snack

Another fun wedding trend is a snack at the end of the night for you and your guests. This snack can range anywhere from pizza, coffee and pastries or if you want a more elegant snack you can do personal charcuterie cones. Another interesting snack could be a mashed potato bar with different types of mashed potatoes and toppings to choose from served in elegant glassware with adorable little spoons. There are endless options to choose from and you can only be limited by your imagination.

Elopements/Micro- Weddings

The last wedding trend on our list is micro weddings. A micro wedding is a more intimate gathering of loved ones, these weddings range in between 20 to 50 guests. Even though it is a smaller scale event they typically still include a lot of common wedding traditions. These types of events can range in price from a few thousand to ten thousand dollars depending on the guest list and extravagance. Some upsides to micro weddings are having a smaller guest list can save you money and because you have a smaller guest list there are more possibilities, some people even travel to other countries for their weddings when they have a smaller guest list.

We hope you loved these 2023 wedding trends and hopefully you got some ides for your upcoming big day! Need help implementing these ideas into your timeline? Feel free to reach out to us by scheduling a free consultation.
