Top 10 Event Venues in LA

The LA  area is home to some of the most beautiful and unique sights around, from the warm sandy beaches to the iconic Hollywood sign but that's not all LA is known for its also known for having some pretty unique party venues. Here is a list of my top 10 favorite venues in LA right now.

Venue by Three Petals

Venue by Three Petals was founded by Catherine Chu in an attempt to give her sister the ultimate wedding gift, the wedding of her dreams. This stunning 11,000 sq ft venue is the perfect blank canvas for your party whether it's a birthday party or the wedding of your dreams. With the layout of the venue the spaces can be combined to hold a maximum capacity of 750 guests the only thing holding you back is your imagination. Not only is this venue spacious but it also can be very accommodating for its guests with the inclusion of a bridal suite, onsite kitchen and bar, as well as tables and chairs to use for your event.  

The Lombardi House

The Lombardi House was built in 1904 and has since been restored, the gorgeous Victorian-style farmhouse in the heart of Hollywood is the perfect venue for a lovely backyard wedding. With the original stable and barn refurbished with 35-foot vaulted ceilings this makes a beautiful indoor-outdoor transitional event space. The private grounds can accommodate up to 250 guests. There are also 4 suites on the property, 3 two bedroom & two bath and 1 three bedroom & three bath, these suites can accommodate up to 28 guests total. 

Valentine by Marvimon

Valentine by Marvimon is one of the more unique venues on our list, originally built in the 20’s this 9,000 sq ft venue is located on Fourth Street in Downtown LA near its sister venues Millwick and Flora Chang. Valentine has a maximum capacity of 500 guests but Valentine can be combined with Marvimon’s other venue Grass Room via a hidden passageway to hold up to 750 guests. This stunning property is surrounded by lush gardens, sunlit rooms, rustic surfaces and beautiful unique artwork by local artists, including the entryway that was carved into a floor-to-ceiling sculptural installation by Tony Brown. This venue also has the Grunwald suite available for reservation.

Millwick by Marvimon

Millwick by Marvimon is another gorgeous one of a kind venue, with a 7,000 square foot floor plan (4,500 sq ft interior + 2,500 sq ft garden courtyard) this venue is able to connect both interior and exterior areas. The Grand Hall is accessible through oversized glass rollup doors and portions of the interior floors have been removed and planted with gorgeous plant life giving an urban jungle aesthetic . The Grand Hall has nine large skylights floating 20 feet overhead and framed by wood bowstring truss ceilings. The 80-year-old patina on the exposed brick walls has been preserved and complements a series of completely unique, hand made, gold ceramic tile walls created by Tony Brown.

The Los Angeles River Center and Gardens

The Los Angeles River Center and Gardens is one of the most breathtaking venues on this list, from the beautiful ivy covered walls and luscious gardens to the glowing 3 tiered water fountain this is the extravagant fairytale wedding venue of your dreams. The stunning outdoor courtyard is the absolute perfect spot for the special occasion. Indoor celebrations are typically held in the California  Building on the property; this space features a skylight, arched windows, and a unique Spanish-tile flooring. With tables and chairs set under the skylight this feature can offer beautiful natural lighting for a daytime event or a stunning view of the stars at night.

The Majestic Downtown

The Majestic Downtown is an iconic filming location and event venue that is recognized as being a historical masterpiece in DTLA since 1924. With a combined 30,000+ square feet and 30 foot high Italian ceilings, arched windows, sculpted marble columns and original marble floors this magical venue is perfect for an elegant classy celebration. This venue is perfect for the simple yet classy bride looking for a beautiful and timeless one-of-a-kind venue. This venue also offers in house catering services but does not restrict outside caterers.

The Revery LA

The Revery LA is a stunning neutral venue with an almost all-white palette, neutral wood flooring and skylights for natural lighting. This venue has 8,000 sq ft indoor space and 3,600 sq ft outdoor space for a maximum capacity  of 250+ guests seated and 800+ standing guests. The Revery has two side-by-side studios that are separated with a folding door system to create privacy and minimize noise between each studio. The outdoor veranda space can be utilized for a stunning night time event lit by fairy lights .

Candela la Brea

Candela la Brea has 16,000 sq ft and a gorgeous art deco old Hollywood glamour touch, the restaurant can hold up to 80 guests, the main room can hold up to 600 guests, the partial main room 250 guests, and 100 guests in the upstairs lounge, the full venue buyout capacity is 750 guests. This venue also offers in house catering and a bar, even though they offer in home catering they do not restrict outside catering. This venue does require you to have an event coordinator or someone from your event to be a designated point person responsible for event set up and clean up as well as other responsibilities .

The Alexandria Ballrooms​

Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, is a three ballroom venue . The three grand ballrooms include The King Edward, The Palm Court, and The Mezz. The Alexandria Ballrooms also has a sister ballroom called The Bank nearby. The King Edward captures royal elements featuring gold leaf ceilings with crystal chandeliers, a grand romantic fireplace and tall windows that flood the room with natural light, this space can accommodate 200 guests reception style and 400 guests standing. The Palm Court was the city's most prestigious ballroom event location during the 70s, accommodating 260 guests reception style and up to 500 standing . This ballroom has stunning high arched ceilings, Tiffany skylights, and the original chandeliers. Located directly outside the ballroom is a Cocktail Lounge with a built-in bar. The Mezz is located on the second level of The Alexandria and is surrounded by windows and skylights with an industrial aesthetic featuring exposed brick walls, candle-light iron beams, and a luxurious marble staircase. This is the largest venue, measuring over 14,000 sq ft and can accommodate up to 500 guests  reception style and 800 guests cocktail style. 

The EBell of Los Angeles

The EBell of Los Angeles is a beautiful traditional wedding venue that features a lounge, art saloon, dining room and garden. The large lounge space is able to hold approximately 320 guests cocktail-style and about 170 guests seated with a dancefloor. The dining room is another large space with the ability to hold 400 guests cocktail style and 250 guests seated dinner with a dancefloor. The stunning outdoor garden space can accommodate about 400 guests cocktail style and can accommodate various seated and cocktail-style options.
